Munich bar during Oktoberfest — Boazn at the Isar

From September 19 to October 4, Munich goes full Oktoberfest. We don't. The Boazn does nothing extra for Wiesn — this is where Munich celebrates like it always does.

If you're in town for Oktoberfest and want a night that isn't a tent: welcome. Book a table, bring your people, let the evening happen.

One room with a bar, kitchen, bath and terrace

The Boazn lives in a former public lavatory right under Ludwigsbrücke bridge, next to the Müller’sches Volksbad. Today: a bar, pub and dance bar with a terrace overlooking the Isar river. Plus three house beers — Gustel, Gspusi and Spatzl. Some call it a pub. For many, it's a living room.

Groups & birthdays during Oktoberfest

In Munich for the Wiesn — before the tent, after the tent, or skipping the tent entirely? We'll block a table or a corner for you, you bring the crew. From drinks to pinsa, out to the river, back in, and onto the dance floor at some point. No program. No back room.

Groups up to 160 people — during Oktoberfest, please book ahead.

Stag & hen parties (JGA)

A stag or hen party during Oktoberfest is peak season in Munich. If you want a guaranteed table after the bar crawl — or instead of one: we'll hold your spot. Tracht is welcome, never required.

One thing up front, because it matters to us: bride's party or groom's party — same treatment, same table. Your crew, your music.

Company nights during Oktoberfest season — no tent, no fuss

Tent tables are expensive, loud, and over in two hours. If your team wants to celebrate during Oktoberfest season without doing an Oktoberfest copy:

  • Your own table zone that keeps the crew together
  • Drink packages if you want them — no obligation
  • Pinsa and snacks for when the evening runs long
  • House beers your colleagues have probably never had
  • A dance floor for when the evening tips over

Weeknights have even more room — just ask.

What we're not

So nobody is disappointed:

  • We're not a Wiesn tent and we don't imitate one. No brass band, no beer-mug program.
  • Closed events with seating charts and plated dinners. We're a bar, not a restaurant.
  • Stage acts like comedians or bands. We don't have the setup for that.

What we are: a reliable place for everything that matters between 5 pm and 3 am.

Questions & answers

→ Deutsche Version

Does the Boazn do an Oktoberfest special?

No. The Boazn stays the Boazn. During Wiesn we run our normal program — which is exactly why you'd come.

Can we come in Tracht (dirndl / lederhosen)?

Of course. Dirndl, lederhosen, jeans — all fine. Tracht is never required here.
